About Us

Six women standing together on a gravel path in a desert landscape, smiling at the camera, some holding shovels, dressed casually for outdoor activity.

Impact 928 is a 501(c)3 non profit organization serving Mohave County foster youth, founded by a collaboration of community members, foster parents, and professionals.

Two young women are playing arcade games together, smiling and focused. The girl in the foreground has long hair in a braid, wearing a short-sleeved shirt and a red checkered skirt; the girl behind her has long straight hair, glasses, and a cap. They are indoors, with neon lighting and an arcade game visible.

Our Mission: To provide trauma-informed care to Teen Girls in foster care, empowering them to heal and learn life-changing skills in a safe haven.

Rooted in Mohave County, Arizona, our purpose is simple: to ensure that every child in foster care has access to the resources, guidance, and unwavering community support they need to heal, grow, and build a brighter future. We empower and support local foster families while addressing the most critical resource gap in our area: safe, local housing for teen girls.

Currently most teen girls in foster care are sent outside of Mohave County, without a single licensed group home for them locally. We're changing that.

Our Story: Why Mohave County Needs Us

The crisis facing our local foster youth is critical.

Mohave County currently has over 300 foster children but only 77 licensed foster homes.

Crucially, no group homes for foster youth currently exist in the county.

Because of this gap, our children are frequently displaced out-of-county. Our Group Home Project is the solution: this project keeps these girls close to school, siblings, and community, giving them the stability and care they deserve.
